Customizable sphere-turning jigs

Tailored to your specific preferences. Heavy construction to handle 3" under the capacity of your lathe. For instance on a 24" swing lathe, one can do a 21" diameter sphere maximum. HOWEVER, this sphere jig is very adjustable to do very small spheres as well.

Durable construction

Thick metal and carefully engineered design ensure strength and stability. Includes a screw for micro-adjustment of diameter. Can be used for convex or concave shapes. Can mount parallel to the ways and do a large convex platter or bowl by rotating the arm with the base in place.

Flexible cutter choices

The main bar of this sphere cutting jig has a 3/4" hole to accept any cutter holder with optional step down adapters for 5/8 and 1/2 inch holders. Any tool on the market can be adapted. Great for projects in wood and resin! We offer HSS, cupped carbide, or flat and negative rake round carbide cutters for resin as well.

The basic system includes a 12″ bar with a 0.75-inch diameter hole, a 3/4″ tool holder with a 1/4″ HSS cutter, an attachment plate, and a screw with a sleeve to attach to your lathe. Optional adapters are available to accept 5/8 and 1/2 inch holders so any cutter on the market can be used. We offer various cutters and holders as well for wood or resin.

Yes, you can customize it by choosing the color, size to fit your lathes and lathe gap.  It is very adaptable for different cutters to fit your specific needs.

The jig can turn spheres up to 3 inches smaller than the maximum capacity of your lathe. For example, on a 24-inch swing lathe, you can turn a sphere up to 21 inches in diameter. HOWEVER this jig can do very small spheres without effort.
